The Successful Hiring Process

Your Organization

  • We sit down and discuss your company’s issues and how it will effect who you need to hire.
  • We identify, screen, and match the right candidate to the right job. I also review your company’s background information and walk through your offices to get a feel for your working environment and people.

Defining the Position

  • Our success starts with both of us having a complete understanding of the responsibilities of the position. In addition to a written job description, I need to find out what the company’s and your expectations are as the hiring manager. I want to make sure it makes sense for where your company is heading now and in the future.
  • We are going to meet with you and other key people in your organization to make sure we collaborate to identify the best possible candidate.
  • We invest a lot of time in the beginning with you which makes the search seem effortless for everyone and results in hiring a candidate that contributes to your organization’s long term success.

Research

  • We will do a study of your company and industry to identify professionals who are contributing to the success of other organizations such as your competitors or related industries.
  • We accomplish this by matching requirements and qualifications of the position to our candidate database, conduct direct sourcing campaigns, utilize our extensive networks, and investigate trade associations/professional organizations.

Candidate Screening

  • Remember resumes aren’t always accurate and do not necessarily reflect the true depth and breadth of a candidate’s experience that’s why we interview all my candidates face to face.
  • I meet all my candidates since personality, presence, and preferences are major factors in long term compatibility with you and your company.
  • During the course of a search I may screen and talk to over one hundred applicants which generally results in selection of three to six candidates for discussion and interviews with you.
  • We discuss the merits of each candidate with you to re-confirm their qualifications and qualities is what your company is looking for.
  • Our process eliminates unqualified candidates and leaves strong probable candidates who generally get offers.

Client Contact

  • We will call you weekly, beginning with the first week of the search to give you a status report.
  • When we find qualified candidates we will email the candidate’s resume for your review. Then we can discuss your interest in interviewing them.
  • We have an obligation to protect the confidentiality of my candidate’s search so please treat their identity and resume discretely.

Candidate Interviews

  • We coordinate times for interviews and will give you honest feedback from my candidates and expect your interviewers to do the same in order to confirm their fit for the position.
  • We check references, verifying degrees, licenses, certifications, can refer you to outside services that provide background checks at a nominal cost or will coordinate for you just let me know, and coordinate all aspects of salary and benefit negotiations.

Follow-up

  • We contact the placed candidate and you on a regular basis. We get feedback on the candidate’s performance to ensure they are assimilating into your organization.
  • This assists you in identifying potential problems early for timely resolution and satisfaction.
  • We maintain documentation for every search which allows us to perform future searches with minimal orientation.
  • We are here to help your organization become successful.
